I am a Cleveland-based lighting designer, photographer, and educator. I enjoy traveling

for artistic projects across the country.

Originally from the Seattle area, I became involved in the creative arts at a young age.

Following my love of Shakespeare and theatre, I received my BFA in Theatrical Lighting

Design, a BS in Psychology, and a minor in Shakespeare Studies from Southern Oregon

University. After completing my MFA in Stage Design at Northwestern University, I

continue to I explore the world of design, dance, music, opera, theatre, special events,

and visual art in professional and academic settings. (See resume below)

Throughout several years as a professor in theatre, I've taught a variety of classes including:  two levels of Lighting Design, Stage Lighting Technology, Vectorworks, Intro to Theatre, Fundamentals of Design and Production, Collaborative Studies, Practicums in Lighting, and Argentine Tango. During that time, I also served as the Resident Lighting Designer and Master Electrician. I also work with outside schools and theatre companies to train them on lighting systems. My scholarship includes giving workshops nationally on teaching pedagogy with a specialization in Gamification. I training individuals and schools on how to implement these innovative practices. I've received grants for the development of “Interconnected: The Tangle” a dance theatre piece about mental health and awareness based on true narratives.

In addition to my education, I have receive training on Intimacy Choreography (Theatrical Intimacy Education), The Humanity of Inclusive Practices, Teach.Equity.Now, Personal Work of Racial Justice, and more. I hold certifications in Higher Education Teaching,  Mental Health First Aid, Safe Zone, and SOGIE (sexual orientation and gender identity & expression).
